terms of use

last updated 16 august 2026

These terms cover your use of TapKhata as a customer collecting stamps. They are meant to be read, so they are short.

What TapKhata is

We are the record-keeper. A café decides its own offer — how many visits earn a reward and what that reward is — and we count the visits. When you have earned something, the café hands it over.

The offer is the café’s, and so is honouring it. We are not selling you coffee and we cannot give you a reward ourselves. If a café refuses one you have genuinely earned, tell us — we can show them the record, and we would want to know.

Your account

You sign in with Google, so there is no TapKhata password to forget. Keep your Google account secure: anyone who can sign in as you can show your code at a counter.

One person, one account. Stamps are earned by visiting, and a code shown to a cashier is meant to be shown by the person who earned it.

Stamps and rewards

  • One stamp per café per day. A day is a calendar day in Pakistan, midnight to midnight, across every branch of that café.
  • Your card keeps the deal it started on. If a café changes its offer, cards already in progress carry on under the old one. A change applies to cards started afterwards.
  • Stamps have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
  • A café can close or leave TapKhata. If that happens we cannot make them honour an unclaimed reward, though we will tell you where you stood.

Fair use

Do not try to obtain stamps you have not earned — sharing your code so someone else can be scanned in your place, using another person’s account, or interfering with the service. We may switch off an account being used that way, and cafés can decline a reward they believe was not earned honestly.

Availability

TapKhata is in a pilot. It may be unavailable, and features will change. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for a reward you could not collect because something of ours was down — though your stamps are kept on our servers, not on your phone, so an outage does not lose them.

Your data

What we store, who sees it, and what closing your account does are all set out in our privacy policy. The short version: very little, almost nobody, and closing an account switches it off rather than erasing it.

Changes

If these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves. Continuing to collect stamps after that means the new version applies.
